The Greeks believed in many gods they sacrificed mostly to Zeus the ruler of the heavens, Hera is the sister and wife of Zeus. Hera is usually thought of as responsible for marriage and the family, and Greek men thought of her as mean and selfish and generally unpleasant to be around. Apollo the god of poetry the sun , Aphrodite the goddess of love , Athena the goddess of wisdom and battle, Demeter the goddess of harvest Hermes the god of thieves,messengers and travelers , Ares the god of war and there are much more there were also titans two are Gaia and kronos and there many more but I'm going to talk about kranos he is the father of the gods when they were born he ate them because he feared that they would rise to power and over throw him. Zeus doesn’t get eaten because his mom was tied of seeing her kids get devoured and she hid Zeus and put a rock in the blanket and gave it to kronos years later Zeus grows and gets his revenge on kronos. he makes his dad puke up his siblings with a mixture of mustard and wine after that they have a huge battle with the Titans the gods win and they chop kronos up in tiny pieces with his scythe and throw him in to the darkest part of the underworld and establish a new time and they live forever.
